Palestinian Students Scholarship Program

Since the tragic escalation of violence in Gaza in October 2023, the region has beendevastated, with severe destruction impacting essential infrastructure,including schools, colleges, and universities. The ongoing genocide has leftthe people of Gaza in dire need, and in response, Alkhidmat Europe has intensified its efforts to provide emergency relief, not only focusing on foodand basic necessities but also making significant strides in supportingeducation.

Recognizing the critical need for continuity in education, Alkhidmat Europe is currently operating tent schools inside Gaza to ensure that children and young adults can continue their studies amidst the turmoil. Alongside this, we have launched a scholarship program, becoming the first organization within our network to offer such educational support. Our primary goal is to enable students tomaintain their education despite the challenges they face, both inside Gaza and for those displaced in Cairo.

The scholarship program initially prioritizes medical students, particularly those in the final years of their studies. To date, we have provided scholarships to 25 students who have relocated from Cairo to Turkey, as well as supporting several medical students who have come to Cairo from Gaza. Looking ahead, we aim to extend this initiative and increase the number of beneficiaries, with a target of providing scholarships to at least 100 students in 2024.

This scholarship initiative does not solely focus on medical students; we are committed to supporting students from various fields, including engineering, IT, and other disciplines. Alkhidmat Europe remains dedicated to empowering the youth of Gaza and displaced students, ensuring that their education continues uninterrupted despite the ongoing conflict.
